REMINDER: ONLINE TRAINING SURVEY - SATURN VUE LOWER RAIL SECTIONING

As was noted in the last e-newsletter, the I-CAR Tech Centre is asking for your help in evaluating a vehicle-specific online training program recently developed in cooperation with the Saturn Corporation. The online training covers the vehicle-specific procedures for sectioning the lower rail on the 2002 Saturn Vue. This online training program not only provides the Saturn Vue service manual steps for performing the lower rail sectioning procedures, but also provides a detailed look at how those steps should be performed. To develop this training, I-CAR technicians performed each step of the sectioning procedure under the guidance of Saturn engineers. Detailed text, close-up pictures, and videos document the entire repair process. Additionally, topics on part locations, equipment, materials, information requirements, and related repair procedures help answer all those repair questions that seem to surface on every repair. There are even some interactive quizzes to ensure that you understand the repair procedures.

This online training program is NOT designed to be a regular feature of the I-CAR e-newsletter. As a matter of fact, this is the only one that I-CAR has currently developed. However, you are invited you to review this trial edition and complete the product survey at the end of the training program. Your survey input about this product is important for I-CAR and will be used to determine the feasibility of future online training products.

The Tech Centre would like to thank everyone who has taken time to view this online trial and complete the prroduct survery at the end of the training program.

If you have not already done so, please select the link below to start the Saturn Vue lower rail training. To ensure that your computer is properly configured, please be sure to read the software plug-in requirements and other information on the first page of the program. To ensure that your input is used in our evaluations please complete the training demonstration and survey no later than November 23, 2003.

Gold ClassThe I-CAR Education Foundation, in conjunction with Akzo Nobel Coatings Inc. and "The Most Influential Women of the Collision Repair Industry," is proud to announce an exciting scholarship opportunity for female collision repair students.

FUTURE I-CAR CANADIAN INSTRUCTORS BEING TRAINED

I-CAR Canada LogoTo satisfy the demands for additional training, two I-CAR Instructor Qualification Workshops (IQWs) were conducted in Ontario and Manitoba.

Ontario

Caroline Lacasse and Bruce Peters facilitated the IQW in Toronto from October 17 - 19, 2003 at the Canadian I-CAR office in Etobicoke, Ontario. Candidates who are taking on the great responsibility of becoming I-CAR instructors included Bob Paladichuck, Dennis Kim, Sean Wallace, Saeed Ahmed, and Gerald Allen.

The instructor candidates, who reside in a wide range of communities surrounding Toronto in Southern Ontario, are excited to assist I-CAR in conducting proper collision repair training programs in Canada.
