David Coffey, I-CAR Northeast Field Manager began the meeting by stressing the need for continued training. He went on to focus specifically on I-CAR training often referring to one of I-CAR's newest marketing brochures, "Hitting Training Head On."
I-CAR Instructors Larry Montanez and Pete Pratti addressed the group and highlighted the most recently released I-CAR Enhanced Delivery training programs. They stressed the importance of keeping employees up-to-date on current industry trends and technology. Audie Swedeen, I-CAR Welding Qualification Test Manager then provided an update on the I-CAR welding qualification test programs.A luncheon was provided due to the generosity of the event sponsors. Without the support of the following local businesses, this event could not have taken place or been as successful as it was:
"The event was a total success," said I-CAR Long Island Committee member Mike Heaney. "We created enthusiasm by showing the industry what we can deliver the latest auto repair technology at a time and location convenient to them. The doors of communication were opened which will allow us to successfully provide the necessary technical knowledge to the industry. Technical knowledge is necessary to protect our greatest asset people. By meeting with our customers we are better suited to deliver to their needs."
