I-CAR TO PRESENT TECHNOLOGY SHOWCASE AT NACE

NACE 2006The International Autobody Congress & Exposition (NACE) announced that I-CAR, the leader in collision repair training, will develop, plan and implement eight clinics to be offered on the NACE show floor in the I-CAR Technology Showcase.

"Who better than the industry's training leader to run these clinics? Having the I-CAR name associated with on-floor education will lend tremendous credibility to these clinics and promote increased attendance," said Dana Teague, NACE Sr. Show Director.

"I-CAR is proud to be working closer with NACE for 2006 with expanded training programs and the unveiling of the I-CAR Technology Showcase. During NACE 2006 I-CAR will not only be offering several I-CAR training programs on Wednesday but we will also be adding the availability of I-CAR training programs on Saturday. Also new to NACE 2006 will be the I-CAR Technology Showcase that will provide all NACE attendees an opportunity to attend the eight clinics that will focus on new technology and repair methods," said I-CAR President and CEO Tom McGee.

In addition to the Showcase clinics on the NACE show floor, I-CAR will also be expanding their offerings within the NACE 2006 Conference by scheduling technical training programs on both Wednesday, November 1 and Saturday, November 4. On Wednesday, there will be six programs, three in the morning and three in the afternoon. On Saturday, two morning programs will be offered. Registration for the I-CAR training programs will be available at the NACE web site at www.NACEexpo.com beginning in early July. Register early as these will sell out quickly.

NACE 2006 will be held Nov. 1-4, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. The educational Conference will run from Nov. 1-4 (Wednesday-Saturday), and the Exposition will take place Nov. 2-4 (Thursday-Saturday). The event will again be held during Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week (AAIW), taking place that same week in Las Vegas.

NACE, the world's collision repair event, annually draws an attendance of approximately 30,000 from around the globe.  It features a variety of educational sessions addressing the needs of all industry segments, as well as an Exposition with approximately 500 exhibiting companies. To exhibit at NACE 2006, call toll-free 888.529.1641 or 972.536.6444. For more NACE information, visit the NACE web site at www.NACEexpo.com.

I-CAR GOLD CLASS BUSINESSES RECOGNIZED THROUGH ABRN'S "E-PILLAR"

EPillerI-CAR Gold Class Professionals businesses will receive recognition in Automotive Body Repair News (ABRN) electronic newsletter, the E-Pillar. Twice a month the E-Pillar runs a "Shop Profile" to highlight successful collision repair facilities. Beginning in April, whenever a featured business has demonstrated a commitment to training by earning the Gold Class Professionals business designation; in their ‘Snapshot' profile section it will include the Gold Class Professionals logo.

ABRN Editor-In-Chief Michael Willins noted, "The industry has always recognized I-CAR training as an essential part of quality within the repair facilities and that plays into the goal of our monthly shop profiles. We try to feature facilities with unique business ideas that have made them more successful. And since these are traditionally among the best read features in our publication, we think readers are using these unique ideas to improve their own bottom-lines. What's interesting is that the majority of the facilities we've featured have always been I-CAR Gold Class Professionals. That's why they have been successful — they typically are forward thinkers willing to invest in their businesses through proper training and pushing the envelope on new ideas. Adding the logo is just a simple way to recognize their commitment to excellence, and quickly get across the message to our readers that, "If you want to be the best you have to be as committed to your business as the shops we're featuring." That type of dedication is the only way today's facility owners are going to survive very tough times."

"I-CAR is extremely pleased that ABRN is including this recognition of commitment to training in their E-Pillar," stated Rick Tuuri, I-CAR Director of Business Development and North American Operations. "Established in 1990, the Gold Class Professionals designation is obviously recognized by the industry as the benchmark for training and this is one more evidence of that."

The E-Pillar is available at no charge and industry professionals can go online to subscribe.
