NEW I-CAR VIRTUAL TRAINING CLASSROOM SCHEDULE AVAILABLE

Did you know that you can attend I-CAR training from your home or office through the new I-CAR Virtual Classroom?

An updated schedule of I-CAR Virtual Classroom training is now available! The I-CAR Virtual Classroom combines the interaction of I-CAR Live training with the added convenience training at a personal computer. Each training sessions lasts approximately two hours and contains an online post test.

Purchasing and pre-registering for Virtual Classroom training is simple. I-CAR discount training coupons are not used for I-CAR Virtual Classroom training; rather, all purchases for Virtual Classroom training are made online with a credit card on a secure e-commerce system. I-CAR RESTRUCTURES CANADIAN APPLICATION PRICING

Effective immediately, I-CAR has reduced its Gold Class Professionals and Platinum Individual application costs in Canada. I-CAR has also reduced the fee to apply for Gold Class points through the I-CAR Industry Training Alliance.

"While we do not price our products and services based on current international exchange rates, we have been monitoring the changes in the US and Canada exchange rates." explained I-CAR President & CEO Tom McGee. "I-CAR strives to be sensitive to its customers’ budgetary needs, and reducing the application fees is the right thing to do, especially for those businesses and individuals that have shown a commitment to training through the Gold Class Professionals and Platinum Individual designations."

Revised Gold Class Professionals, Platinum Individual, and Industry Training Alliance applications can be found online. I-CAR has been issuing refunds for the difference to applicants who have been submitted payments with previous pricing.

CCC AND I-CAR EDUCATION FOUNDATION ANNOUNCE WINNERS OF STUDENT TECHNICIAN SCHOLARSHIPS

CCC Information Services Inc. announced the winners of its inaugural CCC Outstanding Student Technician Scholarships. Totaling $25,000, CCC developed the scholarship program to assist collision repair students. Working in conjunction with the I-CAR Education Foundation, students from five select schools have been chosen for their academic achievement, attendance and dedication to the collision industry.

"It is our pleasure to work alongside a great organization like CCC Information Services Inc," said Ron Ray, Executive Director, I-CAR Education Foundation, "to see young people have the necessary tools and resources to succeed in the collision industry is what the I-CAR Education Foundation is all about."

The recipients are:

  • James Mikkelson and Tyler Seamons, attending Bridgerland Applied Technology College, Logan, Utah
  • Aaron Smith, attending Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton, Wisconsin
  • Nicholas Fuchs, attending Nashville Auto Diesel College in Nashville, Tennessee
  • Joshua Yost, attending Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, Pennsylvania
  • Paul Keney, attending Universal Technical Institute in Houston, Texas

"The selection process was very difficult," said Jim Dickens, Senior Vice President at CCC. "However, it was encouraging to see how many qualified students are preparing for a future in collision repair. The education and skills training these students are receiving from their instructors is incredible. I look forward to following the progress of the students as they enter the workforce."

Students must meet pre-determined criteria to be eligible for the scholarship. Schools participating in the inaugural year of the CCC Outstanding Student Technician Scholarship program were selected based on criteria that include ASE certification, use of the I-CAR Live curriculum and geographic location.
