COME TO THE 5TH ANNUAL CHICAGO COLLISION INDUSTRY AWARENESS TRADESHOW EVENTIndustry professionals and local career and technical school and college students are invited to the 5th annual Collision Industry Awareness Tradeshow Event on September 12, 2006 in Naperville, Illinois. Organized by the I-CAR Chicago West Volunteer Committee, this event brings together industry professionals from all over the midwest and funds raised by this event go towards assisting local career and technical schools and colleges. All of the available vendor spots for this trade show have been filled! In addition to the trade show, the event will provide attendees with other opportunities such as vendor presentations and door prizes. Attendees will have the first opportunity to register for the I-CAR Welding Rodeo that will be taking place in October. The newly available I-CAR Live training program, Steering and Suspension Damage Analysis (DAM06) will also be conducted during the trade show. DaimlerChrysler, Lord Corporation, University of Phoenix Online, and Collision Services will be on hand for technical presentations. STATE FARM INSURANCE CONTRIBUTES $50,000 TO THE I-CAR EDUCATION FOUNDATIONState Farm Insurance Company contributed $50,000 in July 2006 to the I-CAR Education Foundation to support the future of the collision industry. The contribution will support five major areas of concentration that include: image and recruitment through the collisionkids.org and collisioncareers.org web sites; curriculum distribution, career and technical school and college support, training, placement, mentorship, and administrative services.
"State Farm is fully committed to seeing young people find placement and succeed in the collision industry and we have proven that commitment by continually providing financial support to the I-CAR Education Foundation since its inception 15 years ago," said Chris Evans, State Farm Claim Consultant, P&C Claims. "State Farm has a vested interest in the purpose of the Education Foundation and we are proud to affiliate with and support such a worthy organization." The I-CAR Education Foundation, founded in 1991, is a not-for-profit organization; its IRS 501(c)(3) status allows it to accept grants and donations from government agencies, individuals and businesses.
