I-CAR, ASE, I-CAR EDUCATION FOUNDATION, AND NATEF TO HOLD DRAWING FOR SNAP-ON TOOLBOX AT NACE 2006
I-CAR Director of Business Development and Field Operations Rick Tuuri said, "I-CAR is pleased to continue this NACE tradition with Snap-on and ASE in recognizing the importance of training, education, and certification in today's collision industry. We're especially pleased that a qualified professional or future professional will receive this special recognition of their commitment to professionalism and excellence in collision repair." "We salute Snap-on for the generous donation of the toolbox for this event," said Ron Weiner, ASE president. "ASE is pleased to stand with I-CAR, the I-CAR Education Foundation, NATEF and Snap-on to recognize the importance and the value of those I-CAR trained and ASE-certified collision professionals working across North America, as represented by one lucky individual attending NACE." To participate in this promotion, eligible attendees can fill out a registration form at any of the following locations: ASE/NATEF, NACE booths # 2272 & # 2278; I-CAR, NACE booth # 8423; and I-CAR Education Foundation, NACE booth # 8431. The toolbox will be on display each day of the expo; alternating between the ASE/NATEF, I-CAR, and the I-CAR Education Foundation booths. The winner's name will be randomly selected Saturday at the NATEF booth at the conclusion of Saturday's NACE exposition day. The winner will be notified via phone.

I-CAR EDUCATION FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES DATE FOR 2007 GOLF TOURNAMENT
"Industry participation in these types of events is key to the ability of the Foundation to continue developing new products and services for career and technical schools and colleges with collision repair programs," said Clark Plucinski of True2Form Collision Repair Centers and I-CAR Education Foundation Board Chairman. "My thanks to all that supported this event. I would also like to give a special thank you to Mr. Robby Robbs, the Chairman of the I-CAR International Board of Directors, who won the 50/50 raffle and donated all $350 of the winnings back to the Foundation. All who generously supported are truly appreciated." Sponsors of the 2006 golf tournament and reception were: "A very special thank you to all who participated in and sponsored the 2006 event; it truly is a time for camaraderie and fun, along with a chance to raise money to bring more qualified individuals into the industry," said I-CAR Education Foundation Executive Director Ron Ray. I-CAR TECH CENTRE 2ND ANNUAL GOLF OUTING BENEFITS TWO LOCAL TECHNICAL COLLEGES
Thanks to the generous contributions of individuals and local collision industry partners, funds raised will be allocated to the I-CAR Education Foundation and invested in scholarships for students participating in the Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) Auto Collision Repair and Refinish program and the Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC) Auto Collision Repair and Refinish and Technical Communications programs. Dr. David Buettner, President of FVTC and Dr. Jeff Rafn, President of NWTC participated in the golf tournament along with the scholarship winners from 2005 - Sarah Mueller from FVTC and Marcus Jones and Dale Peterson from NWTC.
"The local support for this event deserves applause and we are thankful for the commitment to continuing this event. The funds raised through this event have made the difference for the students who have been awarded with scholarships toward their education in this industry," said Clark Plucinski of True2Form Collision Repair Centers and the I-CAR Education Foundation Board Chairman. I-CAR WORLD HEADQUARTERS FACILITY EARNS CONSTRUCTION AND DESIGN AWARDMidwest Construction magazine will recognize the I-CAR World Headquarters facility for construction and design excellence earning the Commercial Small Project - Project of the award.
All honorees will be recognized at an awards luncheon at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers in December and will be featured in the December 2006 issue of Midwest Construction. "I-CAR is very proud of the World Headquarters facility and in having it recognized by Midwest Construction magazine as the Commercial Small Project - Project of the Year," said I-CAR President and CEO Tom McGee. "We are also looking forward to attending the Village of Hoffman Estates meeting in December where I-CAR and our architect Loebl Schlossman & Hackl will be honored by Hoffman Estates Mayor William McLeod." "In addition to using the Inter-Industry Training Centre portion of the facility to conduct I-CAR training programs, we are also very pleased that the industry is utilizing the facility as well," said McGee. "Since I-CAR moved into this facility, several collision industry organizations have conducted meetings in the facility." I-CAR moved into the facility one year ago with the grand opening celebration taking place on October 20, 2005. |
