I-CAR ADDS INTRODUCTION TO FORD COLLISION REPAIR TO ITS ONLINE TRAINING LIBRARY!
I-CAR has added Introduction to Ford Collision Repair to its Online Training library. Ford Motor Company manufactures dozens of models of vehicles. Many features and construction characteristics of these models are very similar, however, some models offer unique designs. This program is designed to provide an overview of the entire Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury late model vehicles, highlighting construction materials, joining processes, trim removal recommendations, and lighting options.
Topics covered in the program include:
- listing the various construction materials used in Ford designs.

INFORMATIONAL SESSIONS TO TAKE PLACE ON NEW $100 PER COLLISION REPAIR FACILITY PER YEAR CAMPAIGN
I-CAR and the I-CAR Education Foundation will be hosting complimentary WebEx informational sessions to explain the new $100 Per Collision Repair Facility Per Year Campaign and answer questions. The sessions are open to the entire industry, and the same information will be covered at each session. All sessions will also offer an opportunity for questions and answers about the new campaign and volunteer opportunities. 85% of all contributions from this campaign go back to the career and technical schools and colleges in the areas that the funds come from. Each session will last between 30 and 45 minutes.

AMICA MUTUAL INSURANCE COMPANY OBTAINS I-CAR GOLD CLASS AND PLATINUM TRAINING DESIGNATIONS
Amica Mutual Insurance Company has earned the I-CAR Gold Class Professionals designation in locations throughout the United States. “All Amica Mutual Insurance Staff Appraisers and APD Supervisors have completed the required I-CAR training to achieve the Gold Class Professionals business designation for Amica Mutual Insurance. A majority of Amica employees have also achieved their Platinum Individual designation.”
“It was essential for Amica to fulfill its mission to complete I-CAR training and reach Gold Class status,” states Scott M. Wendel, Amica Mutual Insurance Company APD Manager. “I-CAR training is highly regarded in the industry; the training achieved will not only enhance employee job performance while positioning Amica as an insurance company that values inter-industry training, but also benefit our customers by dealing with highly trained professionals. It's also an added benefit for our employees to have completed 10 tested points of training each to complete their I-CAR Platinum Individual status.”

The Gold Class Professionals program requires 5 points of tested training per employee to initially qualify, which equates to 20 hours of training per employee. The Platinum Individual program requires 10 points of tested training per employee to initially qualify, which equates to 40 hours of training per employee. I-CAR TO CONDUCT CLASSES AND QUALIFCATION TESTS DURING UPCOMING INTERNATIONAL ANNUAL MEETING
For the first time in five years, I-CAR will conduct I-CAR classes and qualification tests during the “One Industry, One I-CAR” 2007 I-CAR International Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida, July 26-28, 2007. These classes and qualification tests will be available to both event attendees and the local industry.
I-CAR will bring one of the Mobile Qualification Test (MQT) trucks to a local Orlando business several days before the annual meeting in order to conduct the qualification tests for interested industry professionals.
