ARE YOU PLANNING TO ATTEND NACE?

NACE 2009

I-CAR is excited to be participating in the NACE 2009 Expo. The event, which takes place November 4 through November 7 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, offers greater visibility for I-CAR in the collision industry. At the expo, staff will be ready to offer information to those interested in growing their knowledge of collision repair through training. This is also a great opportunity to introduce I-CAR to those who are not familiar with the training organization, provide information about volunteer opportunities, and to share the importance of training as it relates to achieving a complete and safe repair. If you’re attending the expo, stop by the I-CAR booth (N3277) to visit. You’ll also have the opportunity to enter your name in a drawing for welders being offered by Car-O-Liner and Celette, and for several gift cards.

I-CAR’s booth is located just inside the main entrance and to the right and features the I-CAR Technology Showcase, in which free informational sessions are presented to NACE attendees throughout the entire expo.

On November 4, two new training programs — Damage Analysis of Advanced Automotive Systems (DAM07) and Collision Repair for General Motors Vehicles (GEN03) — will premiere during the event. Registration is still open for these classes but must take place through the NACE website. To see the complete I-CAR class and Technology Showcase schedule, visit www.i-car.com/nace2009.

I-CAR INTRODUCES THE WELDING QUALIFICATION SERIES

Welding Qualification Series

I-CAR has enhanced its Welding Qualification program by offering a comprehensive, in-shop program. Available for aluminum, steel, and structural parts steel welding, the new Welding Qualification Series offers instructor-led training, hands-on practice, and is capped by the industry-recognized Welding Qualification Test.

The new program combines the elements of three formerly independent programs and, by offering the training in the actual environment on equipment used daily by the technician, provides for an experience that assesses both the skill of the individual and the quality of the equipment.

Collision repair shops interested in arranging for the Welding Qualification Series at their location can visit the I-CAR website at
www.i-car.com/html_pages/training_programs/welding.shtml or contact the I-CAR Field Support team at 800-422-7456 for details.
