Industry professionals will be gathering for the I-CAR Canadian National Collision Industry conference to be held March 2-3, 2007 at the Delta Ottawa Hotel in Ottawa, Ontario. This event will share the latest information on issues that directly affect the collision industry today and in the future with an emphasis on the need for current, ongoing training to meet those needs.

I-CAR volunteers and program instructors will attend a workshop on Friday, March 2 followed by a full day of informational sessions open to the entire industry on Saturday, March 3.

Saturday’s topics include:

How to survive in today’s business environment
Update on the new VOC regulations
Industry trends “from the eyes of the vehicle manufacturers”
I-CAR update

The conference will provide an excellent opportunity to meet and exchange information with industry professionals from across the country. All information is applicable to: associations, insurers, manufacturers, recyclers, repairers, and other collision industry professionals.

Please note: Hotel reservations should be made as soon as possible, after February 2 the hotel will not be able to guarantee a room for conference attendees without a hotel reservation. Conference attendees are encouraged to register for the conference no later than February 23.

LIVE SITES AND THE NEW MOBILE TRUCKS - THE I-CAR QUALIFICATION TEST PROGRAM HAS YOU COVERED

Either through the 100+ live Qualification Test (QT) sites available across North America or the new Mobile Qualification Test (MQT) program, I-CAR is making it more convenient for professionals to complete one of the industry-recognized I-CAR hands-on tests.

Whether you complete an I-CAR QT at your facility or an approved test site, the points earned will apply to the Gold Class Professionals and Platinum Individual program.

Remember that I-CAR QTs are only available through pre-registration and pre-payment. Available seats fill quickly so be sure to schedule now for early 2007 QTs.

The collision industry asked for more convenient hands-on testing, and I-CAR delivered. I-CAR has launched the new I-CAR MQT program and the trucks are available to deliver all three of the I-CAR industry-recognized QTs to individual business sites.

I-CAR IN CANADA HOLD FIRST IQW IN 2007

Collision repair and insurance professionals from Ontario, New Brunswick, and Manitoba participated in the Instructor Qualification Workshop (IQW), which took place January 12-14, 2007 at the Canadian I-CAR office in Etobicoke, Ontario.

Sid Van Oeveren served as the facilitator for the class while I-CAR Zone Trainer Joe Da Cunha conducted the set-up and preparation for this program.
