April 28, 1997 I-CAR GOLD CLASS PROFESSIONALS® WORKSHOP TO TEACH METHODS OF INCREASING CONSUMER AWARENESS AT I-CAR INTERNATIONAL ANNUAL MEETING (Rolling Meadows, IL) This year I-CAR Gold Class Professionals" will learn methods of gaining consumer awareness at the Gold Class Workshop, which will be held at the I-CAR International Annual Meeting in Pittsburgh, PA from 8:00 a.m.- 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 11, 1997. Special guest speakers, John Junk of PARNET and Bob Matejzel of Farmer's Insurance, will be present at this interactive workshop to explain how to conduct an Evening of Education event. The purpose of the Evening of Education program is to educate consumers and the general public on the complexity of the collision repair process, and how to recognize an I-CAR Gold Class Professionals business. "Our goal with the Evening of Education program has been to create a more efficient, more cooperative environment through education," said John. "The focus is to help consumers develop a better understanding of the collision repair industry." Gold Class Professionals will also learn how to market their businesses through Gold Class and how to use Gold Class Professionals merchandise in the most effective way. They will be given tips on how to advertise and get their message across to consumers, and how to increase consumer awareness of their business through local organizations and events. A special "how to" handbook will be given to workshop attendees, and prizes will be awarded to attendees of the workshop who answer questions correctly. Cecilia Allice, a member of the Gold Class Steering Committee, will present an overview of the purpose and function of the committee and to address the key issues they face. Questions will be fielded from the audience about the Steering Committee. "This year's workshop will be very beneficial to Gold Class Professionals," said Dave Heckeler, I-CAR's Director of Marketing and Field Operations. "Our focus is to help Gold Class businesses gain consumer awareness and educate consumers on why it's important to go to a Gold Class Professionals business for their collision repair needs."
