June 23, 1997 ALL NEW I-CAR WEB SITE AVAILABLE (Rolling Meadows, IL) The I-CAR web site on the World Wide Web has been expanded. The web site now contains over 300 pages of valuable information for I-CAR Students, Instructors, Industry professionals and Consumers in need of automotive collision repair services. Over 100 industry links to the web sites of automobile manufacturers, collision repair businesses, state and federal agencies, associations and information providers are also available through the I-CAR web site. The web site contains full descriptions of all I-CAR courses and services, as well as information on I-CAR Canada and a full description of services offered by the I-CAR Education Foundation. The site contains valuable information about the Gold Class Professionals" program, including a listing of Gold Class businesses throughout the United States and Canada. The listing is organized by state/province and will help consumers locate Gold Class businesses in their area. If Gold Class businesses have web sites of their own, I-CAR offers a link to their web site, allowing consumers to learn about the shops in their area. The following features are also now available on the I-CAR web site: Information on I-CAR's Uniform Procedures For Collision Repair (UPCR)A listing of Welding Qualification Test sites, testing dates, and times (organized by state/province and updated bi-weekly)A listing of Regional Managers, including fax and phone numbers and e-mail addresses, listing of upcoming events for I-CAR, I-CAR Canada and the I-CAR Education FoundationAn Instructor section, which allows Instructors to download forms they will need for instructing courses I-CAR Press Releases, which can be downloaded from the web site, for individuals interested in reprinting them In the future, look for the I-CAR and Gold Class Communicator quarterly newsletters to be included on the web site. I-CAR, founded in 1979, is an international, not-for-profit, training organization dedicated to improving the quality, safety, and efficiency of auto collision repair for the ultimate benefit of consumers.
