I-CAR COMMITTEES RECEIVE AWARDS

(Rolling Meadows, IL) I-CAR recognized state and provincial Committees within each of its seven US regions and Canada during its Annual Meeting in Pittsburgh. The Goal Achievement and Superior Performer Awards were presented to the Committees that met or exceeded their goals during Fiscal 1997 (July 1, 1996 - June 30, 1997).

To earn the Goal Achievement Award, a Committee must meet or exceed the number of Student units it commits to teach within the fiscal year. Goals are set with Regional/National Managers.

The states and provinces that received the Superior Performer Awards are:

Southeast Region Florida

Northeast Region New Hampshire

South Central Region Tennessee

North Central Region Wisconsin

To earn the Superior Performer Award, a Committee must have the highest percentage over goal, plus have taught every course that I-CAR had available for the fiscal year. For Fiscal 1997, those courses were Advanced Vehicle Systems; Aluminum, Repair, Replacement and Welding; Collision Repair 2000; Detailing; Electronics for Collision Repair; Finish Matching; Glass Replacement; Plastic Repair; Steering and Suspension; Workplace Hazardous Materials; and Understanding Collision Repair.

I-CAR, founded in 1979, is an international, not-for-profit, training organization dedicated to improving the quality, safety, and efficiency of auto collision repair for the ultimate benefit of consumers.
