I-CAR Announces Enhancements to Uniform Procedures for Collision Repair (UPCR) by Sherwin-Williams and Martin Senour

(Rolling Meadows, IL) I-CAR is pleased to announce that Sherwin-Williams and Martin Senour have contributed very valuable product-specific information to the October release of UPCR.

"Sherwin-Williams is proud to participate in and endorse I-CAR's UPCR program. We believe strongly in the need to develop and adopt uniform repair procedures for auto collision repair," said Bruce Cooley, Director of Industry Relations, Sherwin-Williams Company Automotive Division. "We believe these industry-adopted uniform procedures are essential to restore the safety, appearance and overall quality of collision damaged vehicles. We believe UPCR should be embraced and adopted by both insurers and collision repairers as the standard repair practices for the industry. In doing so, we believe our industry will take a big step forward to restore and promote the confidence of the motoring public."

"There is a tremendous need for technical information in the Collision Repair Industry. We are hoping that I-CAR and organizations such as Sherwin-Williams and Martin Senour working together to provide the Industry with electronic product data and MSDS sheets will improve the quality of repairs, and most importantly improve customer satisfaction," said Tom McGee, I-CAR Technical Director. "We greatly appreciate Sherwin-Williams' and Martin Senior's commitment to advancing the technical information available to the Collision Repair Industry."

I-CAR has plans to add product-specific information from other organizations in future issues of UPCR. To participate in this effort to improve the availability of technical information to the Collision Industry, please call Cindy Landwehr or Tom McGee at 1-800-TECH-990 (1-800-832-4990) or by e-mail at upcr@i-car.com.
