Current Events/News: I-CAR Press Releases: 1997 Press Releases October 31, 1997 I-CAR ANNOUNCES NEW EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE (Rolling Meadows, IL) Due to the departure of Chair Larry Laumann, I-CAR announced its new Executive Committee at a meeting held on October 3, 1997 at the Renaissance Hotel in Cleveland, Ohio. The new Committee is as follows:
Article VI, Section 5 of the I-CAR Bylaws states in the event that the Chair is unable to complete his duties, the Vice Chair will automatically succeed to the Chair position. This succession also provided for a vacancy in the Member at Large seat, which is appointed by the Chair. Chair Landolfi appointed Nikki McDonald to fill this role. "Nikki brings a wealth of industry experience which will greatly assist the Executive Committee in making the critical decisions which lie ahead for the future of I-CAR," stated Landolfi. I-CAR, founded in 1979, is an international, not-for-profit, training organization dedicated to improving the quality, safety, and efficiency of auto collision repair for the ultimate benefit of consumers.
