April 30, 1998 I-CAR AIRBAG PARTS REPLACEMENT CHART FOR 1998 VEHICLES IN THE MAY/JUNE ISSUE OF THE I-CAR ADVANTAGE (Rolling Meadows, IL) The May/June issue of the I-CAR Advantage will feature the Airbag Parts Replacement Chart for 1998 vehicles. The chart includes airbag replacement information for all common 1998 vehicles sold in the US and Canada. It lists the type of airbag found in each vehicle make and model. Information about seat belt pretensioners and side airbags is also included. The chart lists the parts that must be replaced and the parts that must be inspected after an airbag deployment, how to disable the airbag system, and any special tools required for system diagnosis and repair. Information in the chart comes from vehicle makers' service manuals or was supplied by vehicle makers. The chart is an easy-to-use, quick reference guide. It does not, however, replace the necessity of using the vehicle-specific service manuals. The chart is located in the center of the Advantage and is easy to remove and hang on the wall or put in a binder for handy reference.
