Current Events/News: I-CAR Press Releases: 1998 Press Releases April 30, 1998 1998 I-CAR INTERNATIONAL ANNUAL MEETING JULY 30 - AUGUST 2 IN LAKE BUENA VISTA, FLORIDA (Rolling Meadows, IL) The I-CAR International Annual Meeting will be held at the Hilton in the Walt Disney World Resort July 30 - August 2, 1998. In an Industry with rapidly changing technology, I-CAR is continuously working to link technology, people, and training. The I-CAR International Annual Meeting is an excellent opportunity for this type of important information sharing. I-CAR's newly updated Executive Seminar will be presented at the International Annual Meeting on Thursday, July 30, beginning at 8 a.m. The seminar features an animated tour through a modern collision repair facility. Throughout the tour, participants will respond to questions about issues facing today's Collision Industry using an electronic audience response system, creating an interactive classroom environment. The Executive Seminar focuses on the "why's" of collision repair, the benefits of I-CAR training, and its relationship to liability exposure, operating costs, and customer satisfaction. The seminar is designed for executive and management level decision-makers. It shows the importance of keeping technicians, appraisers, estimators, and other employees who are involved in the collision repair process up-to-date on changing technology. Dr. Barry Asmus, named by USA Today as one of the five most requested speakers in the United States, will be a keynote speaker at the General Session. He was twice voted Outstanding Professor of the Year and was honored with the Freedom Foundation at Valley Forge Award for Private Enterprise Education. Dr. Asmus will speak on important political and business issues facing America. Workshops will be offered on the following topics: Delivering Effective Presentations with Humor; More Than Time Management; Your Link to the Industry.....The I-CAR Committee; The Future of the Gold Class Program; and Working with UPCR. See the latest technology! Learn what's new and what's around the corner in the Collision Industry. Exhibitors will be displaying their newest products and latest technology at the Technology Showcase Thursday 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 - 7 p.m., and Friday 8 a.m. - noon.
