October 30, 1998 I-CAR HIRES JEFF PEEVY AS THE NEW SOUTHWEST REGIONAL MANAGER (Rolling Meadows, IL) Jeff Peevy has been hired as I-CAR's new Southwest Regional Manager. In his new position, he is responsible for overseeing all activity in the Southwest Region including class scheduling, Instructor recruiting and support, and Committee formation and ongoing support. The Southwest Region includes Arkansas, Arizona, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. Jeff comes to I-CAR from Valspar Refinish/House of Kolor. As Director of Training and Application Research, he was part of the Valspar Refinish core management group. Jeff has extensive experience in training, program and curriculum development, technical writing, and application research. He has trained refinish technicians worldwide. Jeff has been involved with I-CAR since 1991 as a Committee Volunteer and an Instructor. He is a contributing writer to Auto Graphics Magazine. He has been on the boards of several vocational-technical school programs. Jeff also has past experience as a collision repair technician and a paint, body, and equipment distribution manager. Jeff's new position with I-CAR will allow him and his family to move back to east Texas, where they are originally from. I-CAR, founded in 1979, is an international, not-for-profit, training organization dedicated to improving the quality, safety, and efficiency of auto collision repair for the ultimate benefit of consumers.
