March 23, 2000 I-CAR 2000 INTERNATIONAL ANNUAL MEETING JULY 27-30 IN TORONTO, ONTARIO (Rolling Meadows, IL) The Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair (I-CAR) will host its International Annual Meeting July 27-30, at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto, Ontario. The International Annual Meeting is an important Industry event recommended for Collision Industry professionals who are interested in the future of the Industry. Hear about current trends and issues facing the Collision Industry. Learn about new products and technologies at the Technical Clinics. Share ideas with other leaders in the Industry. The I-CAR International Annual Meeting will bring together hundreds of Collision Industry professionals from across the United States and Canada. The theme for this year's meeting is "Enhanced Delivery An Outward Vision." The ultimate goal of I-CARs "Outward Vision" is that every person in the Collision Industry has the necessary technical knowledge and skill relevant to their position to ensure a safe and complete repair. Registration for the meeting is $350 US or $535 CDN, prior to July 16, 2000. After July 16, 2000, the on-site registration fee of $395 US or $580 CDN will apply. The fee covers attendance to the General Sessions, Technical Clinics, all Meal and Hospitality Functions, and the Awards Banquet. Updates to the meeting agenda and Technical Clinics will also be posted on the I-CAR web site. Highlights of the meeting will include: - Enhanced Delivery Programs - The latest Enhanced Delivery programs will be offered, including Fundamentals of Damage Analysis 2 & 3 and Air Conditioning 1. - Technical Clinics - A variety of Technical Clinics will be offered, conducted by many Industry organizations. Each clinic will be one hour in length and will allow attendees the flexibility to attend the programs that best fit their schedule and individual training needs. This year, thirty-two Technical Clinics are being scheduled. - Keynote Speaker - Brian ONeill, President of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the Highway Loss Data Institute (HLDI), will review current highway safety issues. A highway safety expert consulted frequently by both print and electronic media reporters, Mr. ONeill appears on network news programs and CNN. - Awards Banquet and Recognition Luncheon - I-CARs extremely dedicated Volunteers, Instructors, and Course Development Committees will be recognized for their efforts at both the annual Awards Banquet and Recognition Lunch. Beyond business, Toronto offers a variety of attractions: Wineries, Ontario Science Centre, Molson Indy, Blue Jays games, and the CN Tower.
