GOLD CLASS PROFESSIONALS RECEIVE RADIO EXPOSURE THROUGHOUT THE U.S.

(Rolling Meadows, IL) I-CAR recently produced four new radio public service announcements (PSAs) with the assistance of Radio Access, a communications company specializing in public service announcements for not-for-profit organizations. The PSAs, which are sent to 1000 radio stations across the country, address the importance of looking for the Gold Class Professionals designation when choosing a collision repair facility. They also introduce "Goldie", the ‘vehicle’ being used to advertise the Gold Class program. The public service announcements were released in July 2000 and are expected to air in all 50 states.

Several themes were used to convey the PSA messages. "The Dating Show" (60 seconds) portrays Goldie as a dating show contestant who must choose the best vehicle repair shop. "Choosing a Shop" (30 seconds) is a straightforward announcement explaining the importance of finding highly trained personnel to repair your vehicle. And the "Emergency Room" (30 and 60 seconds) announcements present Goldie as a patient who, after being involved in an auto accident, gets correctly repaired with surgery-like procedures.

I-CAR’s objective with the PSAs is to help consumers understand what to do if involved in an accident and to promote their choosing of highly trained I-CAR Gold Class businesses. Gold Class businesses can also promote themselves locally and raise consumer awareness by getting the PSAs aired in their area. Download the recordings from the I-CAR web site at www.i-car.com. For a listing of the radio stations that have aired the public service announcements, please call the I-CAR Gold Class Marketing Specialist, at 800.422.7872.

I-CAR, founded in 1979, is an international, not-for-profit, training organization dedicated to improving the quality, safety and efficiency of auto collision repair for the ultimate benefit of the consumer.
