March 14, 2001 I-CAR OFFERS FREE APPLICATION TO PLATINUM INDIVIDUAL PROGRAM FOR ALL ACTIVE INSTRUCTORS (Rolling Meadows, IL) To show appreciation for its instructors, I-CAR has waived the application fee for all active I-CAR instructors who wish to apply for the Platinum Individual designation. I-CARs Platinum Individual program was established to recognize professionals within the collision industry who have achieved the highest level of I-CAR and Alliance training relative to their positions. I-CAR instructors meet program qualifications by earning 100% of the Gold Class point requirements for their position and passing all tests associated with courses or programs for which theyve earned Gold Class points. For any given traditional course, a passed Instructor Training Program will be accepted in lieu of the end-of-course exam. To demonstrate their continuing commitment to technical training, Platinum Individuals requalify every two years and earn one Gold Class point per year through ongoing training. The Platinum Individual program provides an opportunity for all professionals in the collision industry to demonstrate their personal commitment to excellence in their field. By completing the highest level of I-CAR and Alliance training, Platinum Individuals confirm their dedication to safe and proper collision repair and earn the respect of the industry and their employers. In particular, I-CAR instructors who earn the Platinum Individual designation further demonstrate their qualifications to their students. To help students recognize this designation, instructors who meet the program requirements will also receive a complimentary Platinum Individual lapel pin to be worn in the classroom. I-CAR, founded in 1979, is an international, not-for-profit, training organization dedicated to improving the quality, safety and efficiency of auto collision repair for the ultimate benefit of the consumer.
