March 14, 2001 I-CAR 2001 INTERNATIONAL ANNUAL MEETING TO BE HELD (Rolling Meadows, IL) I-CAR will host its international annual meeting July 19-22, at the Marriott Waterfront Hotel in Baltimore, Maryland. I-CARs annual meeting is an important event that brings together leaders of the collision industry from across the United States and Canada to address current trends and issues in the industry. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about new products and technologies and share ideas with industry leaders. The theme for this years meeting is I-CAR A Driving Force in the Collision Industry! As part of its Outward Vision, I-CAR will focus on programs that benefit the entire industry, such as its Enhanced Delivery curriculum, Industry Training Alliance, and Gold Class Professionals program. Highlights of the meeting include: Welcome Reception I-CAR will host a welcome reception on Friday, July 20, at Phillips Harborplace on Baltimores Inner Harbor. While meeting fellow industry professionals, attendees will enjoy a Maryland-style crab feast and the music of a ragtime band.Enhanced Delivery Program A selected program from I-CARs Enhanced Delivery curriculum will be offered to attendees. Technical Clinics A total of 21 technical clinics will be presented by industry organizations. Each clinic will be 45 minutes in length and will allow attendees the flexibility to attend the programs that best fit their schedule and training needs. A list of participating industry organizations will be posted on the I-CAR web site. Education Foundation Luncheon The I-CAR Education Foundation celebrates its tenth anniversary in 2001. This years luncheon is again sponsored by Toyota and will feature a presentation on the accomplishments of the Foundations first decade. Awards and Recognition Banquet On Saturday, July 21, I-CAR will recognize the efforts of its extremely dedicated volunteers, instructors, and course development committees at this event held in their honor. Registration for the meeting is $375 US or $560 CDN, prior to July 1, 2001. After July 1, the on-site registration fee of $420 US or $605 CDN will apply. The fee covers attendance at the general sessions, technical clinics, all meal and hospitality functions, and the awards banquet. I-CAR, founded in 1979, is an international, not-for-profit, training organization dedicated to improving the quality, safety and efficiency of auto collision repair for the ultimate benefit of the consumer.
