June 13, 2001 DUPONT JOINS INDUSTRY TRAINING ALLIANCE Rolling Meadows, IL June 13, 2001 I-CAR announces that DuPont Performance Coatings is now a member of the Industry Training Alliance. Formed by I-CAR in 2000, the Alliance brings together technical training providers to coordinate the training efforts of the collision industry. I am pleased to welcome DuPont Performance Coatings to the Industry Training Alliance, stated Tom Mack, I-CAR executive vice president and chief executive officer. As we continue to add quality technical training programs to the Alliance, students are given more options for meeting their training needs. This ultimately benefits the consumer, who deserves a safe and complete repair. The Industry Training Alliance was established to increase the number and quality of collision repair training programs and eliminate redundant training. All I-CAR training resources are now available to vocational-technical schools and industry training organizations participating in the Alliance. I-CAR also maintains a student database that includes records for all Alliance training programs. Students who complete Alliance training courses can now receive Gold Class points toward I-CARs Gold Class Professionals and Platinum Individual programs. The result is a larger number of Gold Class training sites and a lower cost required to achieve Gold Class and Platinum Individual status. In addition to DuPont Performance Coatings, current Alliance training providers include BASF, Chief Automotive Systems, PPG Industries, Sherwin Williams Automotive Finishes, and Martin Senour Paints. A complete listing of Alliance training programs is available online at www.i-car.com. I-CAR, founded in 1979, is an international, not-for-profit, training organization dedicated to improving the quality, safety and efficiency of auto collision repair for the ultimate benefit of the consumer.
