ONLINE REGISTRATION NOW AVAILABLE FOR I-CAR® 2003 INTERNATIONAL ANNUAL MEETING IN FORT LAUDERDALE
ROLLING MEADOWS, IL - March 31, 2003 - I-CAR will host its international annual meeting July 23-26 at the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Online event and hotel registration is now available at www.i-car.com. I-CAR’s international annual meeting is an important event that brings together leaders of the collision industry from across the United States and Canada to address current trends and issues. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about new products and technologies and share ideas with industry leaders.
Highlights of the meeting include:
- Networking Breakfast - A networking breakfast will be held prior to the start of the general session. This will give attendees an opportunity to network and socialize with their peers in the collision industry. This breakfast will be sponsored by Allstate Insurance Company.
- General Session - The general session will be held on Friday, July 25, and will include the outgoing chair address, incoming chair address, executive staff report, Education Foundation staff report and OEM panel. A "2003 International Annual Meeting OEM Panel Questionnaire" is available at www.i-car.com to enable your questions to be addressed during the OEM panel discussion. Go to the link on I-CAR’s home page now and submit your questions.
- Technical Clinics - Technical clinics will be presented by leading industry organizations from Thursday, July 24 through Saturday, July 26. The schedule for the clinics will allow attendees the flexibility to attend the programs that best fit their schedule and training needs. Each clinic will be 45 minutes in length. A list of participating industry organizations will be posted on the I-CAR web site at www.i-car.com.
- Education Foundation Golf Tournament and Luncheon - The Education Foundation golf tournament will be held at the Westin Diplomat Country Club on Thursday morning, July 24. There will be several opportunities to win prizes and hole-in-one contests. The cost to participate is $150. Come and show your support for the Education Foundation! Sponsors of this event include: ADP/Claims Solutions Group, Akzo-Nobel Coatings, Inc., BASF, Caliber Collision Centers, Car-O-Liner Company, CARSTAR, Copart, CSi Complete, FIX Auto USA, General Motors, ICI, JD Hendler & Associates, Mitchell International, PPG Industries, SCRS, Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes and Sports & Imports. The Education Foundation luncheon will follow at the Diplomat Landing and will include presentation of golf awards. The luncheon is sponsored by Toyota Motor Sales USA, Inc.
- Jungle Queen River Boat Tour & Luncheon - Join the fun on Saturday, July 26, as we set sail on Ft. Lauderdale’s legendary Jungle Queen River Boat. While sailing up the tranquil river past Millionaires Row, a humorous commentary is given by the captain about the many interesting sights and beautiful homes one will see. Once the boat arrives at the ‘private island,’ the Jungle Queen will dock and a delicious lunch will be served. While dining, some of the local Florida talent will be on hand to entertain.
- Party Sport Fishing Tour - Come aboard the "Another Reward" fishing party boat on Saturday, July 26. While sailing the waters off Miami, attendees will have the opportunity to test their fishing skills. The 70 foot long boat is equipped with an air-conditioned main salon, an upper viewing/sunning deck, the latest fish finding directional electronics and a galley where lunch and refreshments will be served. The Reward Fishing Fleet has been providing anglers with premier fishing experiences for 40 years. All of their captains grew up in Miami and have over 100 combined years of local knowledge.
- Art Deco District Walking Tour Spouse Program - On Friday, July 25, there will be a walking tour of the Historic Art Deco District in Miami Beach that has a long history of architectural excellence. From the early Vernacular styling of the 1915 Brown’s Hotel, to the Retro Deco design of the Loews Hotel and contemporary lines of the public market on the Bay, Miami Beach has always told its story through its buildings. A well-versed guide will give unique insights to this famed area as you take part in a one-of-a-kind walking tour. This tour will be followed by lunch and shopping.
- Awards & Recognition Banquet - The awards and recognition banquet will be held Saturday evening, July 26. I-CAR will be recognizing the efforts of the instructors and volunteers by presenting much-deserved awards. The awards banquet entertainment will feature comedian "David Morgan & Chucky." Only when viewing this performance in person will one understand who "Chucky" is and the great entertainment that will ensue.
