Current Events/News: I-CAR Press Releases August 5, 2003 NEXA AUTOCOLOR APPROVED AS A MEMBER OF I-CAR® INDUSTRY TRAINING ALLIANCE® ROLLING MEADOWS, IL - August 5, 2003 I-CAR welcomes product manufacturer Nexa Autocolor as a member of the I-CAR Industry Training Alliance. Formed by I-CAR in 2000, the Alliance brings together technical training providers to continuously optimize the training efforts of the collision industry. Upon application, students who successfully complete the Nexa Autocolor 2K HS Systems and Eye For Colour training programs after April 16, 2003 will be eligible to receive Gold Class points. Six Gold Class points may be awarded for 2K HS Systems and four Gold Class points may be awarded for Eye For Colour. Gold Class points apply toward the I-CAR Gold Class Professionals® and Platinum Individual programs. Through the Alliance, these programs have become training benchmarks for businesses and professionals in the collision industry. All I-CAR training resources are now available to career and technical schools and colleges and industry training organizations participating in the Alliance. I-CAR also maintains a database that includes student records for all Alliance training programs. Other Alliance members include equipment manufacturers Car-O-Liner Company and Chief Automotive Systems; product manufacturers Akzo Nobel Coatings, Inc.-Car Refinishes, BASF Corporation, DuPont Automotive Finishes-US, DuPont Automotive Finishes-Canada, Lord Fusor Corporation, Martin Senour Paints, PPG Automotive Refinish, Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes, Spies Hecker, Inc., and Standox North America; training provider Lew Kinney & Associates; and vehicle manufacturer General Motors Service Technical College.
