Current Events/News: I-CAR Press Releases November 1, 2004 LEXUS RECOGNIZES I-CAR TRAINING ROLLING MEADOWS, IL - November 1, 2004 - Selected I-CAR training programs are recognized by the Lexus Collision Repair & Detail/Refinish Specialist Certification Program in the United States. As a result, this relationship provides Lexus CR&R technicians with the option of completing specifically recognized I-CAR programs, as part of the requirements for obtaining Lexus Senior and Master level certification. The training relationship will improve training delivery and reduce redundancy for the technician, serving a dual purpose by providing Lexus technicians I-CAR Gold Class Professional and Platinum Individual points for successful program completion as well as helping them qualify for their Lexus Certification. As a result of this recognition, Lexus technicians will have the same inter-industry classroom experience and take the same program post-tests as industry-wide I-CAR students. I-CAR Executive Vice President and CEO Tom McGee said, "We are very pleased to continue our relationship with Lexus and having I-CAR training programs included in their technician certification programs. It is through the involvement and support of the Lexus organization in developing I-CAR training programs that I-CAR instructors and volunteers are able to deliver training that meets or exceeds the collision industry’s training needs."
