Current Events/News: I-CAR Press Releases August 29, 2006 NEW I-CAR POINT VALUE FOR COLLISION TV EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 1, 2006 HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL - August 29, 2006 Effective September 1, 2006, successfully completed I-CAR training programs on Collision TV will earn attendees one-half (0.5) of a point towards Gold Class Professionals and Platinum Individual designations. I-CAR programs delivered via Collision TV training offer the same technical content as the I-CAR Virtual Classroom, which is also worth 0.5 of a Gold Class point per program. All points earned prior to September 1, 2006 will remain unchanged. "I-CAR strives to ensure that the recognition that students receive appropriately matches the content of the training programs," explained Rick Tuuri, I-CAR Director of Business Development and Field Operations. "Now that I-CAR has several delivery mechanisms and a wide variety of offerings, we have made this change to bring our Collision TV offerings in line with all of our training deliveries - Live, Online, Qualification Tests, and Virtual Classroom." Descriptions of I-CAR training programs available via Collision TV are located on the I-CAR web site. Collision TV delivery will resume in September; check the I-CAR web site for schedule updates. To earn applicable points, Collision TV satellite subscribers must pre-register and pre-pay with I-CAR for the training program and successfully complete a written post test.
