I-CAR PREMIERS NEW TRAINING PROGRAM AT NACE 2006: FIRST 100 ATTENDEES TO RECEIVE FREE OEM REPAIR MANUALS

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL – September 29, 2006 – In celebration of the new Collision Repair Overview for Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep Vehicles (DCX01) training program premiering at NACE, I-CAR and the Chrysler Group will offer complimentary collision repair CD-ROM manuals to the first 100 attendees at the class.

"We appreciate the Chrysler Group's support in the development of this program. Without the vehicles and parts that they donated, and technical support they have provided, this program would not have been possible," said Jason Bartanen, I-CAR Technical Development Manager. "We're excited to be able to offer this program to the industry and to unveil it at NACE is unique; it's not something we've had the opportunity to do often."

The Collision Repair Overview for Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep Vehicles (DCX01) training program includes an overview of construction designs and materials used in Chrysler Group vehicles and unique repair recommendations specific to those vehicles.

I-CAR will provide copies of the Dodge Caliber and LX (Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, and Magnum) Body Repair CD-ROMs to the first 100 students that attend DCX01 at NACE. The CD-ROMs include information on construction material identification and repair procedures, including partial replacement recommendations unique to these vehicles.

In addition, the Chrysler Group, through Dealer Technical Operations, is donating 75 copies each of four body repair CD-ROMs, and 75 copies of each of their special publications to I-CAR. The publications include; Welding and Weld Bonding, Non-Structural Sheet Metal Repair Manual, Paint Condition deck, Refinish Paint Suppliers and Paint Materials/Systems deck, Plastic Repair Guide deck, and Sealer/Sound Deadener Repair Guide deck. These materials will be distributed to I-CAR program instructors and zone trainers who qualify to teach the new Chrysler Group training program.

"We recognize that I-CAR training adds to the professionalism of the collision industry and are happy to be able to provide I-CAR instructors with the published information that will help them deliver the proper repair recommendations for Chrysler Group vehicles," said Daryl Porter, DaimlerChrysler, Global Service Program Manager. "We have enjoyed working with I-CAR on development of this training program and look forward to continuing this professional relationship for many years to come."

I-CAR, founded in 1979, is an international not-for-profit training organization dedicated to improving the quality, safety, and efficiency of auto collision repair for the ultimate benefit of consumers.
