I-CAR ADDS NEW OPTIONS TO ONLINE REGISTRATION PROCESS

Hoffman Estates, IL - January 26, 2009 – I-CAR, the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair, is continuing to identify ways to respond to the needs of its customers by adding a third registration option for collision repair training courses. The new option, which allows students to indicate to I-CAR the intention of attending a class, does not require logging into the I-CAR site, nor does it require payment online.

“Although this is not a paid registration, from a planning perspective it is important for us to be able to identify the number of students that want to attend a class,” said Jeff Peevy, Director of Field Operations. I-CAR requests advance registration to ensure that materials are available for all students and to avoid cancelling classes when minimum enrollments are not met. “As a not-for-profit training organization, registration in advance is important to help us keep costs manageable and allow us to deliver training to the inter-industry at the lowest possible price.”

The organization’s online registration process, introduced in November, is continuing to grow and I-CAR believes the addition of the new option is needed to support those students who wish to indicate that they plan to attend a class that will be paid for by their employer. “This form of registration is an excellent option for those students who plan to attend a class but who typically pay in the classroom with an I-CAR discount coupon or check provided by their employer,” said Peevy.

Students will be able to use the new system by selecting the “Register and Pay at the Door” option when registering for class. Peevy reminds students that to receive the best pricing on their classes they will still need to purchase I-CAR discount coupons before arriving at class. Discount coupons are available for $105 to any I-CAR student or for $85 for Gold Class Professionals businesses and Platinum Individual students. Students paying at the door with a check will be charged the full price of $145.

Earlier in January, I-CAR also added a fax option for those students who wish to register with full payment but have limited access to the internet to be able to complete the online registration process. Both the online registration and fax registration process will guarantee a student a seat in class, while the new registration system will allow the instructor to identify the need for extra seating. In situations with limited seating, preference will be given to those who have registered and paid for their class online, by fax, or by contacting I-CAR by phone.
