CELEBRITY CAR BUILDER RICH EVANS TAKES I-CAR’S NEW WATERBORNE PROGRAM Hoffman Estates, IL - HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL – March 9, 2009 – I-CAR, the Inter-industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair welcomed a celebrity visitor to its classroom recently. Celebrity car builder Rich Evans took the new training program Waterborne Products, Systems, and Application (REF07) on Tuesday, March 3 in Huntington Beach, California.
Evans noted how the program discusses what’s new in waterborne materials while not just focusing on one brand. Overall he said one of the best features of the program is the focus on technique, as well as safety. “To effectively apply waterborne material the technique needs to be a little different than when applying solvent-borne material,” said Evans, whose work has been featured on the Speed Channel’s Chop Cut Rebuild. “Waterborne needs to be applied in several coats requiring more overlap than when applying solvents, as a car builder and refinisher, I use various application techniques every day, but not everyone in the collision repair industry is as knowledgeable in this area.”
Registration for Waterborne Products, Systems, and Application is currently open and new classes are being added to I-CAR’s class schedule on a continuing basis. Information on classes scheduled in your area can be found on the I-CAR web site at www.i-car.com through the class search feature or by contacting I-CAR at 800-422-7872. Rich Evans is owner of Huntington Beach Bodyworks of Huntington Beach, California. More information can be found at www.huntingtonbchbodyworks.com.
