MITCHELL INTERNATIONAL OFFERS I-CAR TRAINING TO INDUSTRY THROUGH IN-HOUSE PROGRAM

Hoffman Estates, IL - September 10, 2009 – Mitchell International has teamed with I-CAR, The Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair, to offer a series of I-CAR collision repair training courses at its San Diego, CA headquarters. The courses will be open to both employees of Mitchell as well as to the general public.

The information services provider currently employs 1300 individuals and sees I-CAR training as one of the best ways of ensuring that team members have up-to-date information on collision repair procedures. Classes are intended for the labor staff, or the team that develops labor times for the collision repair database. All of Mitchell’s labor editors must achieve and maintain the I-CAR Platinum Individualdesignation, which initially requires 10 units of I-CAR training, and is followed by two units of continuing training each year.

Labor and Specialty Database Manager Wayne Krause, who also is an I-CAR instructor, believes that providing the Mitchell facility as a central location for the classes is a way for the organization to give back to the inter-industry.

“Given the fact that part of Mitchell’s labor time development involves the utilization of I-CAR best practices, it was felt as a way to extend that knowledge to the rest of the industry,” said Krause.

Senior Vice President Marc Brungger added, “Mitchell is committed to providing timely and relevant information to the industry and working with I-CAR is not only a great fit for our product, but it allows us to give back to the industry by offering a location for a wide range of training.”
