Job Descriptions and Point Requirements: Glass Business PLEASE NOTE: Effective January 1, 2007, position-related point requirements will no longer apply for new applicants. New applicants must follow 5&2 requirements to qualify. Only grandfathered Gold Class designated businesses will need to follow position-related point requirements for their 2007 renewal. All renewals after 2007 will require 2 points of ongoing training annually.
Personnel not directly involved in the sales or installation process of vehicle glass have no Gold Class point requirements. Examples of these positions are: Driver Delivers parts to purchaser and does not perform any installation procedures. Office Support Personnel Performs clerical, accounting, secretarial and/or administrative duties, including answering phones, scheduling installations, typing correspondence, preparing reports, data entry, billing, filing, etc. Other Installations Installs only non-vehicle glass only such as commercial and residential glass. Owner - Exempt Only performs administrative tasks and is not involved in daily business activities, estimating, or the installation process. An exempt collision repair business owner must have a full-time manager listed on the application that performs the tasks of the non-exempt owner. |
