PLEASE NOTE: Effective January 1, 2007, position-related point requirements will no longer apply for new applicants. New applicants must follow 5&2 requirements to qualify.

Only grandfathered Gold Class designated businesses will need to follow position-related point requirements for their 2007 renewal. All renewals after 2007 will require 2 points of ongoing training annually.

Technical Writer

Writes technical articles related to the collision repair industry.

Platinum Individual Requirement:
16 Points

Edits technical articles written by the Technical Writer, or edits and writes technical articles related to the collision repair industry.

Directs Technical Writers and Editors, and/or writes technical articles related to the collision repair industry.

Gold Class Requirement:

Personnel not directly involved with writing for the collision industry have no Gold Class point requirements. Examples of these positions are:

Office Support Personnel

Performs clerical, secretarial and/or administrative duties, including answering phones, typing correspondence, preparing reports, data entry, etc.
