Job Descriptions and Point Requirements: Supplemental Restraint System Business PLEASE NOTE: Effective January 1, 2007, position-related point requirements will no longer apply for new applicants. New applicants must follow 5&2 requirements to qualify. Only grandfathered Gold Class designated businesses will need to follow position-related point requirements for their 2007 renewal. All renewals after 2007 will require 2 points of ongoing training annually.
Personnel not directly involved with the supplemental restraint installation process have no Gold Class point requirements. Examples of these positions are: Owner - Exempt Only performs administrative tasks and is not involved in daily business activities, sales, or the purchasing process. An exempt business owner must have a full-time manager listed on the application that performs the tasks of non-exempt owner. Office Support Personnel Performs clerical, secretarial and/or administrative duties, including answering phones, typing correspondence, preparing reports, data entry, etc.
