The collision repair industry has told I-CAR that the value of training is much higher when training is taken to support a role. That’s why I-CAR introduced a new Professional Development Program in 2010 that identifies training that is timely and relevant for several different roles. As I-CAR transitions from the former 5&2, 10&2 program to the I-CAR® Professional Development Program™, you can continue to be recognized for your achievements as either a Platinum Individual or a Gold Class Professionals business. The transition period will occur over a few years with each year building upon the other, ensuring that your training meets the needs of your role. If you choose to be recognized under the new plan, you’ll want to review the following requirements: Platinum Individuals In 2012, for an individual to renew their I-CAR Platinum Individual recognition under the I-CAR Professional Development Program, the individual must achieve 100% of I-CAR ProLevel 1 in a minimum of one role before the Platinum Individual expiration date. 2012 2013 2014 Gold Class Professionals In 2012, for a business to renew its I-CAR Gold Class Professionals designation under the I-CAR Professional Development Program, declared Role Representatives must achieve 100% of I-CAR ProLevel 1 and all others (non Role Representatives) must complete two points for 6 credit hours of training before the I-CAR Gold Class Professionals designation expiration date. 2012 2013 2014
