The I-CAR Volunteer

Giving Back to the Industry

Many activities conducted on behalf of I-CAR are carried out through dedicated volunteers, working through their local I-CAR Committee to bring relevant and timely collision repair training to their area.

I-CAR Volunteers are dedicated to improving the quality and safety of collision repairs for the ultimate benefit of the consumer. In addition, they are improving the image of their industry by actively working on its behalf.

Most I-CAR Volunteers have full-time jobs and families, yet still make the time and have the passion to promote current technical training to the collision industry. The commitment of I-CAR Volunteers has been instrumental to the success of I-CAR and assisted I-CAR in becoming the industry-recognized resource that it is today.

I-CAR values the participation of its volunteers and provides training opportunities to help familiarize volunteers with the roles and expectations of committees. I-CAR offers a Volunteer Orientation Series of webinars at no cost and available several times each year for new and existing volunteers. These four, one-hour modules provide information about I-CAR, committee internal functions, committee external activities, and committee officer roles.

I-CAR is always looking for interested and dedicated volunteers to improve the availability of I-CAR classes in all areas. The time involved can be minimal and the rewards include satisfaction of improving your collision repair community, networking with peers, and personal growth.
