I-CAR Course Cancellation and Refund Policy

If you need to cancel, reschedule, or substitute a course, please contact I-CAR Customer Care by calling 800.422.7872.

Live and Virtual Course Refunds
Please contact I-CAR to reschedule your course at least one business day prior to the course date. If you do not know which course of equal credit hours you would like to schedule in place of the one you are cancelling, you will receive a credit on your training record and will have six months to either reschedule a replacement course or request a refund. 

Refunds for live or virtual courses will be available for six months. After six months, I-CAR will issue e-codes for the equivalent value of the cancelled course.

If you call to reschedule the day of the course or after the course is over, you will have 45 days from the original course date to choose another course by calling Customer Care. 

Non-attendance refunds for live or virtual courses will not be available. 

Online Course Refunds
Students may request a refund or transfer registration to a different online course, of equivalent value, up to 90 days from original registration date. Refunds will not be available for online courses after one 90 days. 

Special Event Course Refunds
Periodically, I-CAR offers live courses during special events such as trade shows.  Registration for these I-CAR courses are completed through a third party event provider, not by I-CAR.  Refunds or course transfers will not be available for courses registered through a third party provider.  All sales are final.

Cancellation by I-CAR
In the event that I-CAR cancels a course, you will be contacted by telephone and e-mail prior to the course.  I-CAR will make every attempt to contact you as you soon as possible once a cancellation is determined.  It is important that you provide I-CAR Customer Care with up-to-date contact information or through your myI-CAR account so I-CAR can reach you. In the event of a course cancellation, you will have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.

Automatic Course Cancellation/Low Registration
I-CAR reserves the right to cancel a class due to low registration; of less than three students per course. All attempts will be made to contact all parties and the class will be removed from the I-CAR website. 

Private Event Rescheduling and Cancellation
If a Private Event is requested to be rescheduled, I-CAR must be notified at least four business days before the event. The previously paid $500 Private Event fee will be applied to the rescheduled event. There is no guarantee of instructor availability for the rescheduled Private Events. The optional $500 long distance travel fee may be charged or refunded if there is a change in the assigned instructor for the rescheduled Private Event. If the shop is unable to reschedule, a refund of the $500 Private Event fee and, if applicable, the $500 long distance travel fee will be made. 

Private Events cancelled within fewer than four business days notification before the event will result in forfeiture of the $500 Private Event fee and, if applicable, the $500 long distance travel fee.
