The I-CAR Industry Training Alliance exists to recognize the accomplishments of training through approved training providers. All programs approved for inclusion into the Training Alliance must support the I-CAR Vision that every person in the collision repair industry has the information, knowledge and skills required to perform complete, safe and quality repairs for the ultimate benefit of the consumer.
After successful completion of the Training Alliance program and application, I-CAR knowledge area completion, or credit hours, can be awarded. The awarded credit hours can be applied towards the I‑CAR Gold Class Professionals and Platinum Individual designations, or be used to meet role‑relevant annual training requirements. Some of the training courses provided by Training Alliance members have expiration dates based on certification terms, therefore upon expiration, the credit hours received will also expire.
Earning Credit Hours through the Training Alliance
Once you have completed training and have earned role-relevant credit hours eligible for recognition through the Training Alliance, you can submit the I-CAR Industry Training Alliance Student Application. The application can be completed online, then printed and faxed or mailed to I-CAR. Please note, only training programs listed on the application form are eligible.
Application Processing Fees
Processing fees will be based on two pricing categories: less than 8 credit hours and equal to or greater than 8 credit hours. See the pricing structure below.
|Less than 8 Credit Hours
|8 Credit Hours or more
All applications and fees should be submitted to:
I-CAR Training Support Center
Attn: Industry Training Alliance
5125 Trillium Blvd.
Hoffman Estates, IL 60192
Once your application is processed, I-CAR credit hours will be applied to your personal training record that can be viewed by visiting my.i-car.com. Certificates are not issued by I-CAR for training received through the I-CAR Industry Training Alliance.
In order to ensure that your training has been recorded and can be verified by your Industry Training Alliance provider, I-CAR recommends you wait for at least 45 days after completing training to submit your application.
