Gold Class Overview

Gold Class® recognition is given to insurance businesses that achieve and maintain a high level of role-relevant PDP™ training for their appraisers who work with the collision repair industry. This PDP training can drive many benefits for the business:

  • Improved claims accuracy
  • Increased appraisers' foundational knowledge
  • HR retention and planning tool
  • Credibility with repair facilities

Insurance businesses may achieve Gold Class at the corporate/company level or at the office/business location/department level.

Achieving Gold Class

To achieve Gold Class, 60% of an insurance
business’ appraiser staff must achieve at least
Platinum™ ProLevel 1® recognition.

Once 60% of the appraiser staff at a business or location have achieved Platinum ProLevel 1 recognition, the business or location can submit its Gold Class application.

After completion of each ProLevel, I-CAR® typically allows employees 12 months to complete the next level of training. However, because a business may have multiple employees at various ProLevels of training, I-CAR simplifies renewal dates by designating one annual renewal date for the entire business.

The annual renewal date for an insurer will become the date that 60% of its Auto Physical Damage Appraiser Role Reps complete their ProLevel 1 training.

All annual renewal dates align to the end of the month.
