Module 1 – Information Sources
This module identifies information found in repair documents and provides students with an overview of automotive acronyms, scan tools, and diagnostic trouble codes. Also identified is information on systems operated by computers and rotational sensors.

Module 2 – Computer Switches and Presets
The course continues with an explanation of parts and considerations of computer monitored switches as well as information on retaining preset information.

Module 3 – Computer Inputs
In the third module, the student will learn about information inputs and how data affects computer operation. The student will also receive an overview of warning lamps and engine data retrieval in this module.

Module 4 – Computer Driven Outputs
As the course continues, an overview of motors and actuators is explained. The student will learn about circuits with multiple inputs and computerized output operation.

Module 5 – Introduction To OBDII
The final module concludes with an introduction to OBDII, which vehicles have OBDII, and how to access information.
