  • Know how to work safely around equipment using the oxyacetylene process
  • Identify the oxyacetylene welding process
  • Understand considerations for oxyacetylene cutting process
  • Understand the plasma arc cutting process

Module 1 – Oxyacetylene Process
This module identifies theory and application methods for the oxyacetylene application process. Important safety information and equipment specifications are covered in this module as well as procedures for oxyacetylene setup and flame type adjustment.

Module 2 – Brazing
The second module continues with a look at the brazing process. Students will learn the features of brazing and brazing temperatures, as well as brazing procedures.

Module 3 – Oxyacetylene Welding
The course continues with information on variables that can affect the welding process, such as torch angle and travel speed. The student will become familiar with weld puddles and beads.

Module 4 – Heating And Cutting
The final module of the course covers heating and cutting applications and processes for oxyacetylene. Equipment and procedures for plasma arc cutting are also covered in this module.
