Nissan LEAF Technologies and Repair Considerations is a one-hour course focusing on the new 2018 Nissan LEAF's features and technologies such as ProPILOT Assist, e-Pedal, and other Intelligent Driving features. Calibration procedures for ADAS systems and repair considerations for the body structure, high voltage systems, heating and A/C, electronic cooling systems, and steering and suspension will also be discussed.
Course Content
Module 1 – Features and Technologies
During this module, the students will learn about the LEAF's e-Pedal, its operation, and repairs. There will be a discussion describing Nissan's ProPILOT Assist, technologies, its operation and calibration procedures. Additional Intelligent Driving Features from Nissan and their repair considerations will also be explained. These driving features include High Beam Assist, Hill Start Assist, Intelligent Trace Control, and Active Ride Control.
Module 2 – Repair Considerations
This module will teach the students about the repair considerations for the electronics that include the high voltage battery, reprogramming, and diagnostics. The body repair considerations section will discuss topics on sectioning, welding of UHSS, refinishing, and the charging door. Additional components such as the electronic cooling system, heating and A/C, and steering and suspension will also be discussed.
